A former member of the Florida House of Representatives who is the GOP chairman for Lake County and is currently running for U.S. Congress endorsed James Judge in his bid to unseat incumbent Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL).
DADE CITY, Fla. – Anthony Sabatini, a Republican former state legislator in Florida, endorsed James Judge Monday in Judge’s primary bid to unseat Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) in Florida’s 12th Congressional District.
Sabatini served as a State Representative in Florida’s 32nd District from 2018 to 2022, and he is currently running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 11th Congressional District in a primary race against incumbent Daniel Webster (R-FL).
Sabatini is an attorney, Army Veteran, Florida National Guardsman and chairman of the Lake County Republican Party.
“Congressional candidates who want to truly address the issues that matter to Floridians, and frankly all Americans, need to band together and support each other,” said Sabatini. “That’s why I’m proud to endorse James Judge in his race against Gus Bilirakis. Just like my opponent, Gus is the very embodiment of the term ‘career politician.’ It’s time for these uniparty politicians to be retired and for younger patriots to step up and repair the damage they have allowed to happen.”
Sabatini cited Judge’s positions on the economy and immigration as the primary reasons for his endorsement.
“James and I not only share in a fraternal brotherhood as veterans, but we share the same positions on the state of our economy and the urgent need to secure our wide-open border,” said Sabatini. “The current Republican Congress isn’t getting the job done. They’re sending money we don’t have oversees and burying the next generations in debt. They haven’t meaningfully opposed Joe Biden’s open border in any way. If they can’t, or won’t take action to solve these pressing problems, it is time for them to step aside and make way for people who will, like James and I.”
