Republican congressional candidate aims to put Bibles in public schools this Christmas season

James Judge’s congressional campaign hopes to give out more than 120,000 Bibles to public school children in Florida’s 12th Congressional District.

DADE CITY, Fla. – James Judge, a Republican running for Congress in Florida’s 12th Congressional District against incumbent Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), has launched a fundraiser to help pay for the distribution of more than 120,000 Bibles to public school students in Florida.

Judge hopes to distribute one Bible to each public school student in Pasco, Citrus and Hernando counties, which make up Florida’s 12th Congressional District.

“My hope is that we can provide a Bible for every public school student in Florida’s 12th Congressional District this Christmas season,” said Judge.

For the first $25 donated to the Bible drive campaign, which runs through the month of December, Judge’s campaign will donate two Bibles for public school students. Larger donations will result in more Bibles being donated to public school students:

“The Bible was the first textbook in American schools, followed by the New England Primer, which was rooted in and heavily emphasized Biblical values and teachings,” Judge said. “The central goal of my campaign is to reorient America’s focus on our Christian, conservative foundational principles. I can’t think of a better way to do that than by making sure each public school child in Florida’s 12th Congressional District has a Bible.”

Judge’s secondary goal is to counter the political left’s anti-Christian, pro-LGBT agenda that has pervaded America’s public schools.

“Many of the administrators who run our public schools are anti-Christian Marxists who openly celebrate the fact that their libraries contain sexually graphic materials promoting deviance, homosexuality and even pedophilia to children,” said Judge. “If children can have access to that material, then they should certainly have access to the word of God, which will also help them understand America’s foundational values. The Bible is the antidote to the radical left’s propaganda.”
